Educated abroad

If you were educated in healthcare abroad, you are welcome to start working in Region Skåne!

If you were educated in healthcare in an EU/EEA country in a licensed profession, you will need to apply for a Swedish licence to work in the profession.

If you were educated in a profession requiring a licence in a country outside the EU/EEA, Region Skåne will provide you with advice and support to obtain a Swedish licence to practise.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement in order to obtain a Swedish licence to practise and to be able to work in healthcare.

International Office helps those who were educated abroad to obtain a Swedish licence to practise, and to start working as a healthcare practitioner.
