The Cultural Heritage Society of Bjäre. Bjäre is the name of the peninsula on the north west coast of Skåne. Härad is an old Swedish word for a district. Bjäre Härads Hembygdsförening preserves and provides information about former techniques and traditions in construction, handicraft, fishing, shipping, agriculture, etc.
The society’s park holds a number of buildings from the 17th to the 20th century. There are variations in the construction techniques and the functions of the buildings. The buildings contain exhibits of objects from different time periods. A “long house” from the bronze age has also been reconstructed, giving visitors the opportunity to experience what life was like in those days.
